Main Conference Venue

The Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre (PCEC) conference venue is on three floors. Click here to download the floorplans 

There are four sets of lifts (elevators) at PCEC. One inside the building and two outside the building connect the PCEC carpark to levels 1 and 2. The fourth lift is for use inside PCEC only as it connects the level 2 and level 3 pre-function areas.

Accessible restrooms are available throughout the venue on all floors.

Signs will be located on the doors to indicate the availability of these facilities

  • Engaged (red – do not enter)
  • Vacant (green – enter)

Hoists and changing tables will be made available in the Change Room which is located in Meeting Room 10.

A Quiet Room is available for delegates who need some time without distraction. It is located in Meeting Room 9.

Car Park

There are approximately 5,000 car parking bays within a 10-minute walk of Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre. The City of Perth Convention Centre Car Park is located directly under the Centre.

Access: via Mill St, Mounts Bay Rd, or the Riverside Dv off-ramp from the Mitchell Freeway

Payment: cash, credit card, or City of Perth Parking Card

Centre access: direct access to PCEC during opening hours via central foyer lift and staircases

SCOPE Australia and the AGOSCI 2019 Organising Committee have offered training and information to local businesses and organisations to support communication access.

Create your own Introduction Card

  • Are you an AAC user?
  • Do you have an introduction card?

Introduction cards are a great way to “break the ice” when talking to new people who may not know how to best communicate with you.

Introduction cards explain in 3-4 bullet points how you communicate, and what your communication partner can do to make communication smooth and successful.

The AGOSCI conference will provide opportunities for delegates with complex communication needs to access communication introduction cards. Further details available soon.
